Example: Source block
Each type of source block will be imported and configured in a different way. These examples show one type of discrete source and one type of continuous source.
Example 1: Discrete text source
Initial text source:
Configuration:
Source selection: Discrete text source
Source configuration: Select the required file.
Source index: Create new index
Source quality: Create Quality
-
-
Create a master quality column
-
Create a quality column for each field
-
Resulting dataset:
Example 2: Continuous text source - with timestamp alignment
Initial text source:
Configuration:
Source selection: Text source
Source configuration: Continuous text source file.
In the [Timestamp] tab: ensure that the correct timestamp fields are matched to the correct configured fields.
Set one timestamp field as default.
Source timestamp: Create timestamp - Create master timestamp with timestamp alignment.
Source quality: Create Quality: Create Master Quality
Resulting dataset:
Example 3: Continuous text source - without timestamp alignment
Initial text source:
Configuration:
Source selection: Text source
Source configuration: Continuous text source file. In this example:
In the [Timestamp] tab: ensure that the correct timestamp fields are matched to the correct configured fields.
Set one timestamp field as default.
Source timestamp: Create timestamp - Create master timestamp and Create a timestamp for each field. Timestamp alignment then becomes disabled.
Source quality: Create Quality: Create Master Quality
Resulting dataset:
